The Legends of Settendown Creek

The Legends of Settendown Creek is an equestrian themed estate development nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia Mountains. Development began in the late 1990’s, and there are 143 home sites within the subdivision with only a few remaining lots awaiting new homes. The location is convenient to shops, entertainment and dining, yet retains a rural, easygoing atmosphere.
The community was developed for homeowners to enjoy the benefits of being in a neighborhood, and at the same time being able to enjoy the privacy and solitude that comes with estate sizedlots ranging from 2.5 to over 11 acres. Several sites border Hurakan Creek, a tributary of Settendown Creek, which eventually merges with the Etowah River.
Community amenities include Chief Rising Fawn Park, a 14 acre park sharing Eagle Lake with surrounding homeowners. Offering picnic and playground facilities, the park is an ideal location for either community or family gatherings. Here you can also access walking trails that meander through dense forests adjacent to Settingdown Creek. Several small waterfalls along the trail enhance the feeling of being close to nature and the history of the Native Americans who inhabited the area centuries earlier. Additionally, there is another 7 acre park with a walking trail along Hurakan Creek.
